Four children of Ratiram Purva of Gangaghat Kotwali area in Shuklaganj died due to drowning while bathing in Ganga at Chandanghat on Saturday. There was mourning in the locality on Sunday, the second day of the incident. In mourning, stoves were not lit in homes even for the second day. All four children were cousins. The condition of his family members is crying and crying. On receiving the news of the death of two children, Niaz, who reached home from Bahraich late on Saturday night, burst into tears and said that everything was lost for him.
Ratirampurwa resident Salman’s son Rajbabu and daughter Nazia Bano and his brother Niaz’s two sons Mohammad Munajir and Aamir alias Riyaz and daughter Zainab Bano had gone to take bath in the Ganga at nearby Chandanghat on Saturday. Started drowning when he went too deep while bathing. Seeing this, a teenager present there saved Zainab by jumping into the Ganga, the rest of the children drowned. On receiving the information, the family members took out the four children with the help of divers and took them to Kanshiram Hospital in Ramadevi, Kanpur.
There the doctors had declared all four children dead. During this time, Niaz, who had lost both his sons, was in Bahraich. On receiving the information he returned late at night, his condition was very bad and he was crying. Niaz said that he had lost everything. At the same time, on Sunday, the second day after the incident, stoves did not light in many houses in the locality. There was silence everywhere. Relatives are trying to console Salman and Niaz.
